Yes, I did say being a single mother is not the ideal, but it is the lesser of two evils when the choices are slaughtering a unborn child or allowing it to be born.
I am all for a single, pregnant woman making the right choice in that regard, wheter it be to rear the child herself or put it up for adoption, whichever is wisest uder the circumstances.
It is a moral failing of many Christians to kneejerk label unwed pregnant girls as whores and abandon them. I have had enough experience within the organized-life movement to know the reality of what most of these girls face. Tey discover they are pregnant and get dragged to some abortion mill by their angry mother or dirt bag boyfriend who is goig to kill his kid and never have anything to do with her again. In such a spot, what other choice does a young, scared girl believe she has? Give her the option of help and she will very rarely choose to kill her child.
Nothing about being a single parent is easy, but I cannot in good conscience offer up abortion as a solution. It is a barbaric practice for which progressives try their hardest to cover up the reality with orwellian language like “fetal material undergoes demise” at best ad legislation preventing even the most innocuous measures such asa waiting period or parental notification at worst. Why go to such lengths to cover up a practice progressives consider an exercise of freedom that strikes a blow against the oppressio of women? I just accurately described for you the reality of how girls are forced ito abortions by others. If that is not oppression, of women, what is?
So, no, I do not support abortion as a birth control option, even uder the circumstances in which a girl gets pregnant and her first inclination is to kill it. Such girls need professional guidance, not a quick way to kill their children.
