Kagan joins the Court as a polarizing figure, but she strikes me as your typical bland progressive jurist more interested in suiting her sense of social justice than in accurately interpreting the law. Considering the previously appointed Wise Latia had a case overturned during her confirmation hearings, you have to wonder if Barack Obama has not dumbed down the Court for the ext two or three decades.
The pair are certainly a step down from John Roberts and Samuel Alito in terms of judicial acumen.
