Sarawak Cuisine, Paya Serai, PJ Hilton.

PJ Hilton. =)

Anyways, come and explore the great culinary diversity of Sarawak cuisine with Chef Jamilah - right here at PJ Hilton's Paya Serai. From now til the end of February 2011 - Chef Jamilah will wow all of us with the awesome Sarawakian cuisine selection, and then you can also learn a bit more about Sarawak culture with the handicraft exhibition and demonstration in front of Paya Serai.

Contrary to West Malaysian food, Sarawak cuisine is less spicy, lightly prepared and subtle - yet just nice in taste. Due to its geographic location, fresh seafood and sparingly used of natural plants such as turmeric, lemongrass, ginger, lime as well as tapioca leaves are common ingredients in East Malaysian cuisine.

The above - are some of the awesome selections which includes umai ikan with kerang and sago, kerabu umbut kelapa, terubuk masin, sup ikan with timun and terung Dayak, pansoh ayam, udang galah rebus berserai, daging masak lada hitam Sarawak, sayur rebung tumis kering, and a whole selection of kek lapis and kuih kering Sarawak. =)

The awesome Sarawak laksa.

If Esther tells you its good, you can trust her cos she's a Sarawakian.

If you wanna go check out these awesome Sarawak cuisine, just head on over to Paya Serai and taste it for yourself!!! The buffet spread is available for lunch at RM 68++ for adult and dinner at RM 75++ (RM45++ for kids <12>
