Season three is the most consistently good of the series. Even the filler, such as Helo’s investigation of a doctor he thinks is killing patients and Tyrol’s involvement in a labor strike made for interesting episodes.
But it is the arc episodes that made the season. We have the Occupation of New Caprica, the Colonials’ rescue, the aftermath with the collaborators, the stand off over the Eye of Jupiter, Baltar’s trial as a traitor, Lee’s identity crisis, Starbuck’s “death,” and the revelation of four of the Final Five Cylons.
It is all quite masterfully done.
