Dear Retina,

You are a vindictive, petty little jerk, are you not? You not only detach twice, but let me go off to law school n the interim. Kind of cruel to give me false hope there, you know?

Oh, and what was that steroid I had to take for your benefit without knowing I had diverticulitis? Was that supposed to be funny? I assure you a colon rupture in the middle of my travails was a laugh riot.

I hope your permanent vacation is immensely satisfying. Mine certainly is not.
