Leslie Nielsen’s Gravestone Marks His Final Fart Joke

Let ‘Er Rip: Leslie Nielsen’s Final Fart Joke

Shirley you can’t be serious.
For years, actor Leslie Nielsen made us laugh in films like The Naked Gun and Airplane!. So when the actor passed away in late 2010, millions of comedy fans were saddened by the news. But now, even in death, Nielsen is still cracking jokes.
Take a look at this picture from the Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Lauderdale, FL, where Nielsen was laid to rest. “Let ‘er rip” is inscribed on his headstone, in a final, fitting reference to his love of fart jokes. Of course, it also has the double meaning of “Let ‘er rest in peace,” which is a nice touch.
At any rate, here’s hoping that Leslie found that giant Whoopee cushion in the sky. R.I.P.
And stop calling me Shirley.
