The Raohe Street Night Market, Taipei.

Today, lets go back to Taipei in Taiwan - and go for the.... night markets!!!

With a well-organized management committee and planned public facilities, the Raohe St. Night Market boasts numerous delicious cuisines and snacks to allure people from all over the place to visit. There is also a mascot for the night market which is an “owl”, meaning lively and attentive at night, just like the lifestyle of vendors.

What are the specialties here? There are like tons of oyster vermicelli, spare ribs stewed in herbal soup, pepper meat buns, duck meat and stinky tofu stalls here.

The Raohe Street Night Market covers various kinds of booths for general merchandises, accessories and yummy snacks, all at low and affordable prices. You can always come here to find some interesting items.

Malaysia Airlines Business Class.

During my recent trip to Hong Kong - I flew there with the Malaysia Airlines Business Class. As usual, it was a good experience... but since I have not blogged about it before, why not now right? hehehe LOL...

We get drinks... free flow on the plane. No need to pay for it when it's served wan...

Cafe au Lait - Awesome Coffee

One of the things that I enjoy about my overseas holidays is this... I get to try out the various different cuisines and food. Another habit that I have is to check out their local 7-Eleven... at Taipei, I spotted this drink which was superrrrr niceee... It would be a MUST TRY, and it shows that 7-Eleven do sell good coffee too... (maybe the ones in Malaysia dont carry it though..)

Kan Pai Yakiniku Japanese BBQ, Taipei.

One of the more interesting places that I went to eat in Taipei.... actually served Japanese food, Japanese BBQ to be exact LOL. Andrew brought us to this place.... and in fact, he was telling us about how awesome the place is.... hehehe... =)

They have got some interesting decor here, with plenty of polaroid pics on the walls.

The stove - all charcoal only, giving you a nice aroma of natural burn, rather than gas burn.

Yakiniku (焼き肉 or 焼肉), meaning "grilled meat", is a Japanese term which, in its broadest sense, refers to grilled meat dishes. Today, it commonly refers to a Japanese style of cooking bite-sized meat (usually beef and offal) and vegetables on gridirons or griddles over flame of wood charcoals carbonized by dry distillation (sumibi, 炭火) or gas/electric grill. In North America, China and Taiwan, Yakiniku is also referred to as "Japanese BBQ" while in Japan it is usually described as Korean cuisine.

The KLIA International Airport. =)

Since the emergence of Air Asia and its low cost flights, I have not really been taking the usual flights that much; which means I use LCCT most of the time rather than the KLIA International Airport.

This time for my visit to Hong Kong, I flew there with Malaysia Airlines. =)

Ahhh... the space, the luxury... I miss KLIA. =P

Travel Taipei: Taipei's Local Delights, Ximending

One of the things that I enjoy doing when I'm travelling and on holiday is to eat. Oh wait - I think I enjoy eating even when I am not travelling too LOL. Anyways.. .back in January, I was in Taiwan and I got to try out some local delights. =) The place that was.... Ximending, perhaps the Shibuya/Harajuku of Taiwan.

It actually looks like some Teochew porridge place - with a wide array of choices.

...note: THERE's plenty of PORK too!!!

...simple, nice and cheap.

Then there's the dessert. =)
