What an outrage.I do not buy into the idea for one second this new thirteen story, $ 100 million mosque is a symbol of moderate Islam and its cooperation in rebuilding lower Manhattan. Neither should you.
First, the idea is insensitive on the surface. We already have a symbol of Islam at Ground Zero. It is Ground Zero itself. Nothing serves as a better reminder of what the so called ’religion of peace is all about than the site where nearly 3,000 Americans were killed by Muslims.
Second, there is no such thing as moderate Islam. The ideal to any Muslim is to take over the entire planet and install Sharia law. It is the only way for them to remain holy. Just to elaborate, remaining holy involves stoning women for smiling at another man, chopping off heads for minor offenses, hanging homosexuals, destroying the symbols of other religions, and other such concepts which are the antithesis of American liberty.
That is right. Islam is incompatible with American values.
Third, think of the symbolism. The mosque is being built o the uncollected ashes of 9/11 victims. That means Muslim feet stomping o the remains of victims. Remember that showing the soles of the feet is an insult in Islam? The tall design of the mosque is a direct mockery of the twin towers. For the final touch, the mosque will open on September 11th, 2011. Giving thanks to Allah on the tenth anniversary of their great ’victory” over the infidels? How long before the mosque becomes a place of pilgrimage for radical Muslims? As soon as the doors open would be my guest.
Finally, who is funding this project? I want to see the list of donors. One hundred million is a lot of cash and I am certain there are some fascinating names on that list. In the spirit of cooperation with moderate Muslims, they should allow us a look at it.
This mosque is not a celebration of peace, it is a monument to murder in the name of religion. It would be a travesty to allow it to be built.
Exit question; What would happen if Pat Robertson built a mega church near Saddam Hussein's largest palace as a symbol of Christian charity? There would be outrage everywhere, including Christian countries and rightfully so.
