All Time Favorites # 23--Courtney Cox-Arquette

My appreciation for Courtney Cox-Arquette, aside from her roles in the Scream Series, begins and ends in the ’80’s. From her first appearance “Dancing in the Dark” with Bruce Springsteen to playing a telekinetic in the goofy science fiction show Misfits of Science and a long turn as Alex P. Keaton’s girlfriend on Family Ties Probably because I am into science fiction and aspired to be Alex P. Keaton.

I am not sure where Springsteen fits in there. “Glory Days” is a good song. Yeah, I do not know where I am going with that. I am now Keaton with a penchant for science fiction, though.

I was forced into watching Friends in order to participate in conversations on Fridays, but by that point she had lost something. I am not certain if I did not like her character, was creeped out by her too skinny heroin chic style, or just too distracted by Jennifer Aniston to invest much I her. Maybe because she abandoned the Keaton type. I dunno. Something tells me Cougar Town is to be avoided at all costs, our relationship will probably stay that way.

Speaking of nostalgia:
