Paul Krugman: Death Panels Are in ObamaCare; Will Save Us More Than Switching to Geico

Watch this quick comment by New York Times useful idiot, Paul Krugman:Note that Krugman is saying death panels will save money, not would save money--meaning death panels are established within that behemoth of a healthcare reform law.

If that is not bad enough, Krugman endorses them as a fine, cost saving idea. He very casually describes how easy it will be for said panel to tell someone their desired treatment is not going to do any good, so it will not be paid for. The attitude is consistent with the infamous town hall response Barack Obama gave to a woman who asked if her 105 year old grandmother could get a pacemaker under ObamaCare--”Maybe she could just take a pill.”

The concept these panels exist and be put into action leads to some chilling realizatios.

First, people will actually want to serve on these panels. It speaks volumes about human character--or lack there of--to want the job of sentencing people to death, noty because of some crime they have committed, but because the cost of their medical care allegedly outweighs their value as people. What kind of sick person aspires to do that?

Second, how is this not social engineering? Everyone knows even the most stringent rules become less so over time. As ObamaCare costs skyrocket what is to stop these panels from factoring in the societal value of a patient as a further measure of value? His age? His general health? His carbon footprint? His intelligence level? The way Krugman slobbers all over the most fascist of progressive ideas, he would probably advocate such things now.

Finally, what does it say about our national character that are progressives think death panels area fantastic idea and our Christian, conservatives like Sarah Palin are scoffed at by all sides for pointing out how evil the whole concept is instead?
