Mitt Romney Buys SRLC Straw Poll Victory

Mitt Romney won the Southern Republican Leadership Conference presidential straw poll. Do not make much of it. Ron Paul came in second, for heaven’s sake. Both inexplicably spent money oranizig their followers to win the poll. Wasting time and resources on such a frivolous thing is grounds for skepticism regarding fitness to be president. So is Romey’s idea that this “win” makes a former Massachusetts governor more viable to southern conservatives.

I will be honest, I think Romney would make a terrible candidate choice. He has a RINO streak in him and the record in Masachusetts to prove it. RomneyCare is a sneak prevent of the problems ObamaCare is going to cause. I do not trust the guy to create national policy for four years. He panders too blatantly and has a more slippery tales than Joe Biden. Remember marching with MLK? Romney does, even though he never actually did it. How about denying his 2008 campaign was run by lobbyists when his deputy campaign manager was--wait for it--a lobbyist.

I know it is a touchy subject and neither Christopher Hitcherns, nor Lawrence O’Donnell got traction with it last time around, but ardent Barack Obama are bound to bring up that the Church of Latter Day Saints officially claimed until 1979 blacks could not go to heaven until. Thechange was well into Roey’s adulthood. I am the last person to hold an individual responsible for every jot and tittle of theology, but race obsessed Obama Zombies are not likely to refrain. Do we really want to spend the first eleven months of 2012 with both sides trading unfair bars over “racist” Mormons and secret Muslims?

I am looking for someone else--someone better--to emerge within the next year or so. I just cannot see Romney being Our Guy.
