Woman falls from building after attending lover’s funeral.

A 22-year-old woman died after she fell from a high-rise building here - right after she had attended the funeral of her boyfriend some 500m away. The woman, who was from Bukit Mertajam, had attended the funeral at Batu 14 Cemetery in the morning before she was believed to have gone to the nearest tall building.

Serdang OCPD Supt Abdul Razak Elias said they were alerted by residents from the Koi Tropika Condominium at Batu 14, Puchong, who found the body of the woman sprawled in a pool of blood on the parking lot at around 5.15pm yesterday. “Initial investigations revealed that the woman has attended her boyfriend's funeral in a cemetery about 500m away from the condominium hours earlier,” he said.

Supt Abdul Razak said the boyfriend, from Kg Bunga Melor, Batu 14, Puchong, had died about two weeks ago and his body was released for burial yesterday. “Her injuries are consistent with a fall from a height,” he said, adding that the body had been sent to the Serdang Hospital for post-mortem. He said the police had ruled out foul play and were investigating the case as sudden death.

Half-naked woman falls to her death onto a car.

A half-naked woman, in her 20s, fell to her death onto a passing car from a high-rise apartment building at a shopping complex here at about 10am on Saturday. It is learnt that the woman, a foreign national, was living on the 14th floor of the building with her local boyfriend.

Petaling Jaya Deputy OCPD Supt Meor Hamdan said that police were currently questioning a man in his 40s living in the building where the victim fell out of but he declined to elaborate. The body has been sent to University Malaya Medical Centre for a post-mortem. Journalists, who tried to go into the apartment block to interview neighbours, were denied entry by the building's security team.
